Avast! Claims It Has Scanned More Than Possible…?

well i just got Avast! Antivirus/firewall/internet security etc… and i decided to scan my folder of torrents and torrented files. i will attach a screen shot, –> http://imgur.com/WkWa7oV
ok so it says like 64 GB or something, now on AVAST!… –> http://imgur.com/j2MEprm
as you can see, over 90 GB! WTF? i don’t understand, only thing i THINK it might be, is that is says data *tested… is that not the amount scanned? just tested… somehow? and if so, why WOULDN’T it tell you how much it scanned? curiosity is killing me here! :P

Norton Or Avast Internet Security?

Been using Avast Internet Security for the past two years with no real problems. The previous year I had PCTools and it was really slow and not very good. That was in response to having had Norton for a good 3 or 4 years prior to that which was incredibly slow and took up to much computer memory.
However, I’ve read that Norton has worked on that problem, and now uses a lot less memory. Norton Internet Security is cheaper than buying a one year subscription for Avast Internet Security on amazon. So which do you think is better? Has Norton really lowered it’s CPU usage, and how does it compare to Avast in terms of CPU usage?

Avast Found Out That I Have?

Your avast! antivirus software is illegal
Attention! The avast! Internet Security software license you are using is an ILLEGAL copy.
The license key you are using for your antivirus program was not provided by AVAST Software – it was pirated/stolen.
Ok, we’ve got you. What happens now?
If you won’t choose a legal option, your license will be shut down and your program will no longer receive updates protecting you against viruses.
should I unistall it and get the free one I got that from a youtube video?

Norton Anti-virus Vs. Avast?

My Norton Anti virus just expire, and need to spend almost $50 to renew it, compare to Avast Free anti virus, it seem like quite a decision. Of course Norton is better, u get wan u pay, but i been hearing from lots of people that its just the same as a free soft ware.
To keep Avast i would have to combine it with different software such Spay ware, Firewall, ect. that i can also get for free.
Im really not sure of which way to go on this. Can free be as good enough to stay safe? or will i just get rip off by A software that’s good as a free antivirus?

If U Get Avast Free One Year Software Should I Get Somthing Else Like Malwarebytes?

The rule is that one antivirus software is more than good enough. They’re heavy on system resources, especially the paid ones. You should therefore get just one good antivirus program and stick to it, and I believe Avast! is a good choice you’ve made.

Error Installing Avast Anti-virus Software: “not Enough User Rights To Continue”?

i attempted to install the avast anti virus software a few minutes ago, and when i decided to run it i got an error saying “not enough user rights to continue”. i googled the problem and many people said the solution was to download the program from an administrator account, but my account IS an admin.
any idea as to what the problem is? here is a log of the error:

Best Free Firewall Program With Avast Anti-virus?

I’ve only had experience with AVG software when it came to free protection on my pc. But my Kaspersky license is gonna run out today and I don’t want to be unprotected. I’ve heard Avast or Avira is one of the best in terms of free software. I don’t want to get the Internet Security so what would be the best/safest free firewall for download? I also have Malwarebytes, so I just need a firewall.

Avg Or Avast?????? Free Anti-virus Software?

Which is better? I need something that runs on Win7 and is eay to install, without demanding my DOB, SSN, mothers maiden name, location, a million cookies (yum!), and my ever-lasting soul.
Also, one that doesn’t shut down the computer because it views me as a security issue (oh, yah, it’s happened before alright. A anti-virus software thought my apps like rocketdock and athan.exe were threats. I did the whole Captain-kirk “error” mind game on it, though, & that let me wrestle it down to the point I could uninstall it and its malware too lol. Gooooo, humans!)
So, has anyone tried one or the other, and could you tell me your experience w/it?
Thank youuuu :)
