I have the software CamStudio, but the pixalation from the recording are barely respectable, does anyone know of any other screen recording software, preferably free.

I need software that will copy my films to hard drive, is there a free, easy to use one that you would recommend ?
currently using dvd shrink 3.2 and got an issue data error ( cyclic redundancy check ) btw the film is brand new

I own a really good set top box that my brother gave me. the problem is it wont work because I updated it recently and it froze half way through I was left with no other option but to turn it off and on even though it says not to. unfortunately I had to. when I turned it back on there was just nothing. I couldn’t reset it or anything because the was no software on it. I really need a set top box that records and has time-shift and all the bells and whistles(okay I want it I don’t need it). I am low on money so if I could fix this one that would be great. Its just freeview. theres no extra channels (other than GO, seven Mate, etc(australian channels) and such) or anything that I need to pay for
the thing was updating for over an hour so I definately had to turn it off. I thought it was going to over heat or something and it was definately %100 mine not leased or stolen or anything.

I know the derivative of the function equals (e^x)-2.
By using (free) graphing software, I can see that the horizontal tangent is somewhere near x=.07, but I don’t know how to get the exact number algebraically.
How do I find the value of x of the graph where the tangent line is horizontal?

I’m looking for a free program that allows me to set way points, get bearings of lines, and give me some other information regarding elevation and stuff. I’m pretty much looking for google earth but with a little more depth. Does this program exist

I recently wiped my drive and reinstalled Windows 7. I put the files I actually use back on my pc, and I’m looking to find a backup solution to backup this data. However, I plan on purchasing a Mac when they come out with the Ivy Bridge powered devices. So I’m trying to avoid compatabilty issues when this arises. Any free software that works with both?

I have an .XSD file of a Mirabilia pattern (Mermaids of the Deep Blue Sea) which was created using Pattern Maker. Since I don’t have the software, I was hoping someone out there could open the file for me and save it as a jpeg or something. At least I hope you can save it as a jpeg since I’m not sure of the capabilities of Pattern Maker. Because I’m on a Vista machine, I can’t even download the free trial from their website.
Anyways, can somebody help me out here? I’d really love to do this design, and I promise that I’m not trying to kill your computer with some kind of virus. lol

My pc keeps crashing lately and everytime i boot it up it takes me around 6 attempts before it actually boots! Although once im on it runs fine for hours but sometimes my screen will freeze and the computer will force me to boot up again, help? Also if u can only link me real free software that cab diagnose and solve the problems, thanks
